This is one of the most enchanting treks available in the Kullu valley which offers some of the most beautiful mountain scenery to be found anywhere in India. Deep forest, wide open lush green hanging valleys and the bleak marinated landscape dominated by the Malana glacier, all add up to a very beautiful trek.
This trek is laden with a bunch of beautiful alpine pastures offering gorgeous views of some of the highest snow covered mountain peaks and open valleys. The trail requires walking through the blue Pine and Deodar, walnut, golden Oak and wild Cherry. The remarkable sight from the pass is magnified by the Bara bangal range towering high in the west while the PirPanjal ranges fall in the north and Parvati in the east. A typical trek up in the hills of Himachal Pradesh, Chanderkhani Pass is one those Himachal trekking packages that is ideal for all trekking enthusiasts and nature lovers.

Transfer from Patlikuhal to Rumsu Thatch via Naggar and trek to the Base Camp of Chanderkhani Pass – NayaTapru. The team will be transported by jeep to Nagar from Patlikuhal. Delightfully situated on a wooded slope and commanding an extensive view of the valley, it is famous for its temples, ancient castle, and the Roerich Art Gallery. From Naggar, it’s a gradual climb up to Rumsu and then a steady and gradual climb to just below the Chanderkhani Pass at NayaTapru.
From NayaTapru, it is a partially steep walk and at times a little flat. From here till our camp at the base of Chanderkhani Pass (3660 m) it is an easy walk and trees of birch are scattered around. We camp at 3400 m. We will have views of Manali and peaks like Shetidhar, Hanuman Tibba and Priya Darshani and also the magnificent views of various mountain peaks of Kullu, Lahaul and the Bara Bhangal range.
After waking up to those amazing views today we descend down back to Naggar via Rumsu. By late afternoon or evening reach Patlikuhal to catch your bus back to your home. The trek ends here.
