Mount Kinner Kailash is located in the Kinnaur district of Himachal Pradesh. The trail provides a panoramic view of the whole range of Kinner Kailash mountain peaks. This region is located on the Indo-Tibet border and gives a wonderful introduction of confluence of Hinduism and Buddhism. The landscape of the area varies from lush green scenic valley of Sangla to the snow clad mountains of the Kinnerranges. This trek is packed not only with some of the best views of the mountains, but also provides an insight into the rich history of trade, religion and diverse ethnic groups, the experience of which will leave one enchanted.
Itinerary of the trek is tailor made for hardcore trekkers who have extensive high altitude trekking experience. Trek will include 2-3 days of snow camping (which will depend upon snow conditions in the month of April) and crossing glaciers.

Reception at Shimla and drive from Shimla to Kalpa via Kufri and Narkanda. The drive from Shimla to Kalpa is beautiful and scenic. Reach Kalpa by evening and check in to the hotel. The backdrop of the ancient Chini village adds charm to the stay and even the Kinner Kailash mountain is visible from here. Explore the surroundings.
Today we drive from Kalpa to Charang village and which is the home of the ancient Rangrik Monastery. Camp for the night near the village.

Today our trek starts from Charang to Lalanti. The initial climb will be steep for 2-3 hours until we reach Charang Kanda. After reaching Kanda the gradient is low till Lalanti.Camping for the night beside a stream in Lalanti.
Trek to the base camp of Charang La today. The climb is relatively steep today and we’ll reach the base camp by evening. Dinner and overnight stay in tents.
Today we start early and climb steeply to the Charang La. The view of the Kinnaur range is spectacular from this point. We pass the Charang La and descend down to Chitkul village. Overnight stay in the beautiful village of Chitkul.
Today we drive back from Chitkul to Shimla with a bag full of lifetime memories.

Travel in the remote mountain regions of the Himalayas involves certain inherent risks and dangers to life and property of both – the “Hippie in Hills” team as well as the participants, which include but are not limited to, acts of God, danger from natural elements / extreme weather (landslides, cloudbursts, rock-fall, snowfall, etc.), problems arising out of exposure to high altitudes injuries / accidents on account of travel in difficult terrain, which may result in delays, injury, illness or under extreme circumstances, even death.
The participant is aware that the treks and related activities involve such risks and dangers; and that “Hippie in Hills”, within its limited capacity, takes viable measures to ensure the safety and comfort of the participants and to minimize the risks associated with these activities.
Understanding all the risks, dangers and related aspects mentioned in this section, registering and participating in of any of the services offered by “Hippie in Hills” constitutes a de-facto contractual arrangement between “Hippie in Hills” and the Participant. Accepting these terms and conditions denotes that the participant has understood all the terms & conditions mentioned hereafter, and that these terms and conditions shall be binding upon the participant at all times.
• The itinerary is subject to favorable road and weather conditions. We will do the best to make alternative arrangements in case of bad weather and inaccessibility to the destination before or after the tour has begun. The cost of the tour or any part of it will not be refunded in an event of unfavorable conditions anytime during the tour days, after the tour begins.
• There would be an extra cost for offloading your rucksack at INR 300/- per day for a bag of up to 10 kg
• In case the trek gets extended due to unforeseen circumstances, extra days on the trail will be chargeable at INR 1800 per person per day.
